Finish – Turkey Strikers are finished with a high friction wax and crystal coat that is applied on the lathe. No finish is applied to the tip of the striker. The tip is finished with 220 grit sandpaper, allowing it to resonate on the surface of the Turkey Pot. The tip may be refinished as necessary by lightly sanding the tip with 220 grit sandpaper to optimize sound.
Wood – Redheart is and exotic hardwood from Central and South America. Redheart is known for its natural, vivid red color. It often has brown streaking in the grain of the wood.
