Hand Turned Wood Duck – Duck Call made from Brownheart

This is for hunting wood ducks. The wood duck call is also known as a squealer call. This call is not a mallard duck call.

Insert – This is a one piece call that does not separate in the center. The insert is a small mylar reed call capable of producing both the high pitched ‘in flight’ squeal, as well as mimicking ‘on water’ sounds. The different sounds are controlled by changing the air flow through the call and adjusting back pressure using your hand over the end of the call.

Finish – All of the wood components of our game calls are finished with a high friction wax and crystal coat that is applied on the lathe.

Wood – Brownheart is a tropical hardwood from South America. It is known for its rich chocolate brown color and durability. It is our most popular wood for our wood duck-duck calls because it’s grain and color are similar to the appearance of the female wood duck.
